Jesus Rose from the Dead
Matthew 27:65–66; John 20:19
Jesus was crucified and placed in a tomb, but on the third day He rose from the dead! He appeared to Mary, His disciples, and other followers to show He had risen. Jesus’ death and resurrection conquered sin and death so we can have forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life in heaven with God. That is great news!
HE IS RISEN! We had a fun day celebrating Jesus’ resurrection! We started the day off with worship, then we had everyone stay together (3 years through 5th grade) as we told and acted out the story of Jesus’ resurrection. The kids really enjoyed how the skit helped the story come alive!
We continued our celebration with a game called “Resurrection Relay”, made empty tomb treats, and the kids went home with a sweet card and sucker as a gift from our Calvary Kids Team.
