The Hearts of Man
Romans 5:12, Genesis 6:5, Jeremiah 17:9, Romans 3:10-11 & 3:23, John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:17
We had another successful Sunday Praising God, and growing deeper in our understanding of sin and the hope we have in Jesus!
Here is a short summary of our lesson:
Adam was the first to sin. And because of that sin, death entered the world. And now all people sin, and all will die because of sin. This is really bad news! We talked about how doing nice things is just not enough! Anything we do will fall short of God's glory. Nothing we do on our own will ever be good enough to earn a place in heaven. We deserve death, punishment, and eternal separation from God.
But there is also really good news! In His grace and mercy, God has provided forgiveness through Jesus Christ–the perfect sacrifice. Jesus paid the price for all our sins!
John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Memory Verse
Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5
