One topic that has come up recently is whether moving from three Sunday services to two services during the summer months might better serve our church. For Summer 2026, we will continue with our current three-service schedule.
Rather than making changes this year, we'd like to use this summer as an opportunity to gather information and better understand how summer attendance patterns affect our church and ministries. As you lead and serve this summer, we'd appreciate your help paying attention to things like:
- Changes in attendance throughout the summer
- Volunteer shortages or scheduling challenges
- Ministry areas that become strained during the summer months
- Parking, space, or logistical concerns
- Opportunities that may be created by having more or fewer services
Our goal isn't simply to reduce services, but to determine what best supports discipleship, volunteers, families, and the overall health of the church during the summer season.
If you notice trends, challenges, opportunities, or have thoughts you'd like to share, please send them to the office using the link below. At the end of the summer, we'll review what we've learned together and use that information as part of our planning for Summer 2027.
