Water to Wine - The Miracles of Jesus Series (Toddler/PreK)
This week in Calvary Kids, we learned that Jesus turned water into wine and could do amazing things.
Read John 2:1-11
The Bible tells us about a party Jesus went to. It was a wedding party! Lots of people were there and there were food, drinks and celebrating. Jesus' mommy, Mary, was there too! But then, uh oh! - they had a problem! They ran out of drinks for all of the people! Jesus' mommy, Mary, knew Jesus could help! She told the helpers in the kitchen: "Do whatever Jesus says!" That's good for us to remember too. We should do what Jesus says! Jesus told the helpers to do something. He said, "Fill these BIG jars with water." The helpers got water and filled the jars. They held a LOT of water and they filled them all the way to the top!
Then Jesus did something AMAZING! Jesus used His special power from God and He changed the water into something new. It wasn't water anymore - it was WINE! (a special drink for grown-ups that's like grape juice). The people at the party thought it tasted the best! Everyone was so happy! The problem was solved! Jesus helped the party and did a MIRACLE! A miracle is something only God can do! This was Jesus' very first miracle and it showed that Jesus has God's special power!

1. What it reveals about Jesus (How it connects to Jesus' character):
A. Jesus has God's special power.
Only God can change water into wine! Jesus is God's Son, and He can do things that nobody else can do. Jesus made everything - the sky, the trees, the animals, everything!
2. The Heart (How it connects to our hearts):
Jesus cares about us and cared about the people at the party. Не helped them when they had a problem. Jesus cares about you too! When you have a problem, you can talk to Jesus! We should do what Jesus says. The helpers at the party did what Jesus said, even though it seemed strange. We should obey Jesus too! When Mommy or Daddy ask you for help or to listen, do it right away!
3. The Gospel (How it connects to the gospel)
Jesus can make us new Jesus changed water into wine. He can change us toо! When we love Jesus, He makes our hearts clean and new. Jesus loves you so much!
Application:
1. Obey Right Away: When Mommy or Daddy tells you to do something, obey right away! That makes Jesus happy!
2.Talk to Jesus: When you have a problem or feel sad, you can talk to Jesus. He cares about you!
3. Remember Jesus Has Special Power: Jesus can do amazing things! He loves you and wants to help you!
