David's Sin and Repentance- The Life of David Series (Toddler/PreK)
Today in Calvary Kids, we learn that David made another big mistake in his life, but he still went back to God and said sorry and God forgave him. Even when we know we have messed up really bad, God will always be there to forgive us when we turn to Him.
Read 2 Samuel 11-12 and Psalm 51
One day, King David did something that made God sad. He forgot to think about what God wanted. God sent David’s friend Nathan to talk to him. Nathan said, “David, what you did was wrong.” When David heard this, he felt very sad inside. His heart was yucky and not clean. David prayed to God. He said, “I’m sorry, God. Please forgive me.” David didn’t want to keep making bad choices. He wanted God to help him do what is good.
God forgave David. He loved David so much, even after the bad choice. God was happy that David said sorry. When you say sorry to your Mommy or Daddy, do they give you a hug? That’s what God does too! He says, “I forgive you, and I love you.”
David made wrong choices, but Jesus never made any wrong choices. Not even once!
