Healing the Noble's Son
Through the Gospel- Healing the Noble's Son
Our Calvary Kids Ministry were taught about the incredible faith required for Jesus to heal a noble's son without even being near to him. This lesson teaches us that Jesus wants us to have faith in Him. This story in our Bible is ultimately about faith, but more importantly when we are challenged in our faith and still needing to stay true even without any sign. This Nobleman implored Jesus to return to his home withhim and then heal his son, however Jesus tested the mans faith and told him to return home because the son would be healed based upon the faith that Jesus words were true!
Read John 4: 46-54
In this passage we were able to look into how Jesus claimed these peoplewouldn't beleive unless they saw signs or mircales. Jesus told the nobleman to go his way and that his son would live, and based upon the words of Jesus alone, the nobleman returned home to find his son living and well. It was based around the words Jesus spoke and the mans immense faith in Jesus's truth and divinity, that his son was healed. Upon his arrival home, the nobleman asked when the boy was healed and they told him the day prior at the seventh hour that his fever had left him. The nobleman knew this was the same time Jesus told him to return home and the scripture says, "And he himself belived, and his whole household."
Family Discussion:
Jesus said to him, Go; your son will live. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spken to him and he went his way. "
John 4:50

Family Discussion:
- How was the nobleman's faith challenged? (He was told to return home without seeing the miracle)
- How far did Jesus go with the Nobleman before telling him to continue alone and his son would be healed? (TRICK QUESTION, Jesus didn't go with him any distance but first told him to return home that his son was healed.)
- If our faith is challenged, how can we regain a complete trust in Jesus? (Pray, read our Bible, go to church, worship)
- If this man travelled a long distance in faith to have Jesus heal his son, How far would you go in faith to ask Jesus something?
Jesus said to him, Go; your son will live. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spken to him and he went his way. "
